A graduate of Kevin Street College of Technology (TUD), Paul Kavanagh has more than 30 years of progressively responsible experience directing as many as 2,000 employees in companies with revenues in excess of $1 Billion USD. Paul has led strategic divisions within these companies through start-up, survival, turnaround and growth modes.
Paul has spent virtually his entire career in the mission critical power and cooling industry, including roles in technical support, field service, design and implementation and global service management. He is able to fully support and provide expert guidance to customers by relying on his varied experience and his understanding of the technical and commercial requirements of customers.

Dominick Byrne
Dominick Byrne
Director
Having worked in the UPS industry for over 30 years in various support, technical and senior management roles, including UPS field service engineer and Country Service Manager for APC and Schneider Electric, Dominick joined Total Power Solutions in 2012 as company director.
His main focus is to manage, develop and grow the team and business in line with our mission to protect, power, cool and manage our clients’ critical infrastructure.
Having a unique insight into the service business and the issues customers face, he is acutely aware of the need for, and insists on excellence in everything that Total Power Solutions does.
To this end was instrumental in us being awarded and maintaining ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001 Quality, Safety and Environmental Management Certification.

UPS Field Service Engineer
A graduate of TU Dublin, Barry joined our service team in 2018 and has attended Schneider Electric’s training centre multiple occasions for technical product training and is certified for works on Schneider Electric UPS. Barry’s technical knowledge from previous roles in the critical power and Datacentre industry, coupled with factory training and experience gained throughout his career makes him a valuable and trusted member of the team. A qualified electrician, Barry is focussed on UPS commissioning, maintenance and service across our customer install base and delivers these to the highest industry standards. Barry is trained and certified by Schneider Electric to work on a wide range of UPS, having attended multiple training courses at their training centre in France.
All our service engineers are Safepass and Manual Handling certified.

UPS Field Service Engineer
John became part of our service team in 2019 and has quickly become an essential part of the team. A qualified electrician, John completed his degree in Electronic Engineering in 2013. John came to us with a strong electrical background having worked in the critical power industry previously and has a strong experience of AC and DC installations and maintenance. John is trained and certified by Schneider Electric to work on a wide range of UPS, having attended multiple training courses at their training centre in France.
All our service engineers are Safepass and Manual Handling certified.

Stephen Kirwan

UPS Field Service Engineer
A qualified electrician with over 10 years’ experience, Stephen joined the team in late 2021, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge, experience, and skills from previous supporting roles, looking after the facilities of major government and industry clients. Having attended technical training from Schneider Electric, Stephen is quickly becoming an integral part of the service team. Stephen’s strong technical and customer facing skills, coupled with a proven history of resolving complex issues will greatly add to the already professional service team here at Total Power Solutions.

Office Manager
Catherine joined us in 2019 in the role of office manager. She is responsible for the smooth running of the busy office at Total Power Solutions and brings a wealth of experience to the role from her career in multiple industry sectors. Catherine is responsible for all service and sales administration duties within the company.
